From Struggling with a Pushup to Building a Fitness Lifestyle—My Journey So Far
Back in high school, I could hardly do a pushup, let alone join my peers lifting weights behind the dormitories. I was a skinny little boy with so much spirit but no bite. Watching others train while feeling too small and weak to join them left me frustrated, but I didn’t know where to start.
A little insecure about how I looked and how much smaller I was, I decided to take up fitness after high school. Driven by the desire to be better—to look better, feel better, and perform better—I started my journey with home workouts and runs. I had no gym membership, no fancy equipment, just the determination to change.
Starting Wasn’t Easy
The first workouts felt like pure punishment. Every pushup burned, every run felt like a marathon, and progress seemed painfully slow. One of my biggest mistakes? Not following a proper structure and not doing enough research. I jumped into workouts without a plan, hoping sheer effort would be enough. I quickly learned that what you really want, you make time for—and part of that is learning how to do it right.
But despite my mistakes and struggles, I managed to stay consistent. Not always for the right reasons—I was driven by wanting to change my appearance more than anything—but over time, my perspective evolved.
Why I Started This Blog
At first, fitness was about looking better. But as I kept going, I realized it was about so much more. It wasn’t just about muscles or abs—it was about mental health, mindset, and discipline. It changed my lifestyle, my habits, my sleep, my eating patterns. It made me a fighter, someone who didn’t quit when things got tough.
Fitness puts you in a position where you can’t help but share it with others because you wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on the benefits. A long, healthy, and quality life is something we should all strive for.
That’s why I started this blog. I’m passionate about fitness, and this is one of the ways I can share my experience and, hopefully, help that one person struggling to get started or stay consistent. If you’ve ever felt like fitness wasn’t for you, trust me—I’ve been there. But with time, consistency, and the right mindset, it gets better.
So, whether you're just starting or looking for motivation, stick around. Let’s grow together—one workout, one step, one win at a time. 💪🏽🔥

Consistency and comparison
ReplyDeleteI totally get where you’re coming from. Consistency is tough, and comparison can really mess with your progress. I struggled with both when I started too. For me, it was about making fitness a part of my routine, no matter how small the step. Just keep showing up, even on the days when it feels hard.
DeleteAs for comparison, remember your journey is yours. Celebrate your wins, big or small! Everyone’s progress looks different, and that’s okay.
You’ve got this, keep at it!
